Installing SP1 on windows 2008R2 DC

Quick question. i have a windows 2008R2 domain controller that i added to my current 2003 AD recently. One thing i missed before doing to dcpromo was installing SP1 on the R2 machine.

We have a pretty simple environment. currently 3 2003 DC's and 1 2008 DC. Forest and domain are in 2003 mode. One forest and one domain. If i update to SP1 on the R2 machine, does this change a lot of AD stuff that i should be aware of, especially with 2003 DC's in the mix?

The R2 machine doesnt have any other software installed (except mcafee viruscan). It's stricly a DC. I've also transferred all FSMO roles to it.

As far as I am aware it will have no impact at all on what you have installed in terms of your environment.
I have cthe same server environment as you. I have just done exactly the same. It went just fine. No changes in ad.  No problem.
As far as my experience goes SP1 will only upgrade windows 2008 R2 server and services

There are no schema updates in SP1 so there are no direct updates to AD.
