My problem is that I did not get a Vista CD with the machine. Rather, there is a partition on the current hard disk with a restore image.<br />

Does anybody think it is possible to copy the restore of the OS onto an SSD or should I just find a Vista CD?<br />

Windows Vista is an operating system created by Microsoft as the successor to Windows XP. It was intended for PCs, workstations and laptops, and shares the same code base as its successor, Windows 7.
