I have a sonicwall TZ 210 firewall that is used for a orivate network ina manufacturing plant. This firewall gives internet access to devices connected to it and the firewalls WAN is the corporate network VLAN.
So in essence this firewall does not have a public IP on it's WAN but a private IP on the internal corporate network. Is there any we we can vpn into this firewall from the outside without it having a public IP?
IT services are remote managed by a out of state firm at this site and it is going to be a real PITA to get them involved on this and expensive for the customer I am told.
Normally we use logmein on a pc that sits on this private network to do our remote work but we have need for a contractor to do some work and he needs o use his laptop therefore the need for him to be able to vpn to the network
Is there any way to amke this work short of getting a public IP for this firewall?
