Run reports for list of perimeters

I want to run a existing report for a list of perimeters. My current report requires a perimeter (warehouse) I want to list all the warehouses in the report so I have to run only one report.
Just not sure how to do it
Thanks

What version of Crystl?

I assume you really mean PARAMETER
Are you trying to show the values when prompted?
If so if you have versioin10 or before you can add the vlues in the parameter screen.

If you have CR XI or later you can set the parameter to be dynamic and set it to use the field for its values.

I currently have a drop down menu to select the parameter, what I want to do is have a list within the report or a multiple check box to run the report for each parameter.

warehouse 1
warehouse 2
warehouse 5

I don't want to run the report for every warehouse some are inactive

Thanks George

You can set the parameter to accept multiple values then run the report with more than one value

Is there a field that indicates active/inactive?

If so you could use it to select only active warehouses.

I want each warehouse report to run separately.
I am thinking of a list similar to a "do while statement"
parameter = warehouse 1
do report
parameter = warehouse 2
do report

currently I have to run each report separately, this would save a lot of time
I hope I am explaining this correctly
Thanks

You can run them all at once and put each warehouse on its own page.

There are tools that will burst the report into separate files.

You could write an application that will do what you want.

Can you determine the inactive warehouses?
or will you need to hardcode that.
You could also have the application prompt for the warehouse list.

GeorgeSalet your approach will require third party tool. What mlmcc proposed will work directly from Crystal reports if you need just to print the report. In case you want to export the report to a file you will need third party tool too.

You can check this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDfLNf3AU3M#!
It shows similar scenarios as yours but for employees. Create a job which will retrieve a list of employees, print a report for each employee in the list and send the exported pdf to the employee e-mail address. Each report will be processed separatelly.
The advantage of this method is that you can export one report to more than one file (for example excel and pdf). You can run multiple reports per warehouse export each report to a pdf (or excel) , join all files in one and send it to the right manager. You can even append additional pdf files.

For the other approach you can use any of the schedulers here:

You can simply Group the report by Warehouse and let one of the third-party Crystal reports desktop schedulers (see list at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html) take care of bursting the report so that each Group becomes a separate export/printout/email.

At least one of these tools allows you to set options such as export file name and email options/content dynamically based on fields/formulas in the report. So you can generate individualized email messages to all warehouse managers in a single pass.

I think the direction I will pursue is run the report by multiple  warehouses and then group by warehouse
I will have to think on this a little
Thanks
