MS Excel

Hello
I created an Excel sheet and in this file I inserted some "hyperlinks."  Today, using the same version on Excel and not changing any of my settings, I cannot insert a hyperlink on a new excel sheet.  I openned the old sheet, where I once inserted hyperlinks and the link are there and can insert others.
So obviously it must be a setting.  I looked but could not find where to set it.  It is now showing as a "greyed out" menu selection.  So what could be the problem?
Please show me where this setting might be.  I looked under tools/custom and draged it to the tool bar but now I have two hyperlink menu selections that are greyed out.

saurabh726: it is shared.  That is possibly the same as protected, but I will change both.  I need to find where to change them

Which version of excel you are using?
