SSIS Package Import Excel Data

I have created an SSIS package to import an excel spreadsheet into our reporting server. As it stands now, the package will add all the rows to the table, not just the new rows since the last update. How would I update this package to only update the table with new rows since last update?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

In the SSIS package, inside dataflow, add a LOOKUP component to check if each row already exists in destination.
Helped?

Do I enter the lookup component between the excel source and OLE DB Destination? This is my first time createing a package, so my knowledge is very limited.

no...
After your source, add the lookup... inside lookup you need to add the referenced table that you need to check if the record exist or not.
If exist you should udpate or ignore, correct? If not exist insert new record, correct?
Take a look at the following image:
