Cannot Sync photos from MacMini, iTunes & iPhoto to iPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1

Cannot Sync photos from MacMini [OSX [10.7.2], iTunes 10.5.1 & iPhoto 11 [9.1.5] to Verizon iPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1

iPhone 4 photos - 9 albums - listed as iPhoto Albums and accessible for view/edit.

Selecting Devices...JAMAR iPhone...Photos...Sync Photo from...iPhoto...Selected Albums...

Lists only 'Last 12 Months' and 'Last Import' - 9 albums above (or any others) are not in 'Albums' list

What method do I use (iPhoto/iTunes) to make these 9 albums listed in 'Albums' so that I can select for syncing.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

When you phone is connected to your Mac, in iTunes, on the Photo page choose "Sync Photos from" iPhoto and "All photos, albums, Events...." below like on the attached screenshot.

When I do as suggested, sync all photos from iPhoto, how do I select albums I want? I don't want 'All photos. albums...', just selected albums. With OSX Snow Leopard I (and earlier iTunes) was able to select from list of albums - 'Selected albums, Events...'

What has changed?

AS matters are not going well with iPad (iOS 4.3) update anyway I tried 'Sync All photos, etc...' What resulted was the loss of all albums on the iPad and the import of a set of photos unrelated to any left column description in iPhoto - a *Total Disaster*.

I am willing (forced to now) to move (import? sync?) specific albums to iPad. I tried imTOO iPad Mate Platinum - another *Total Disaster*.

Can you suggest a 3rd party App with proven track record of success with moving (import? sync? copy?) specific albums to iPad/iPhone and iOS 5.0.1?

All was well with Snow Leopard and earlier iTunes - Lion a step back.

How can I move (import? sync?) specific albums to iPad? I was planning to update iPad to iOS 5.0.1, but seems I will just have more problems, as my iPhone 4 with iOS 5.0.1 has same photo sync issues.
IT Pros Agree: AI and Machine Learning Key

We’d all like to think our company’s data is well protected, but when you ask IT professionals they admit the data probably is not as safe as it could be.

I have the latest iTunes. This is what I see on my screen:
iTunes. PhotosSo what is the problem?
I prefer iTunes for such operations. From my experience, it has to work fine for me - I have photos on MobileMe (iCould now) and need all albums to be synced. I think, you may consider this option with the Gallery - from my pod it looks nice and I can get to my photos from everywhere.
Sometimes I use iPhone Explorer (but not for the photos).

MAC OS Lion [10.7.2] Software Update returns all up to date. iTunes is 10.5.2 (11).

>>So what is the problem

Problem is Photo albums in iPhoto do *not* map to [JAMAR iPad]...Photos in iTunes

>>So what is the problem - more detail

- see attached screen shots - 'iTunes [JAMAR iPad]...Photos' does not display Albums as they are available in iPhoto. Further, updating iPad to iOS 5.0.1 shows:

(in iPad) Albums as 'Saved Photos [66] and 'All Imported [158]' - no Albums
(in iPad) Events as some (not all) of the iPhoto albums
(in iPad) Photos [224] as (I assume) all photos on iPad

The matter of photos on [JAMAR iPad] in a mess; there are hundreds of photos with no organization and I *cannot* create/copy/sync iPad albums. All worked OK with iOS 4.3.

I am willing to delete all iPad photos and start over (I have multiple backups of the iPhoto album files). *But* how to I get iPad/iOS 5.0.1 to recognize iPhoto albums.

These albums are the local albums saved on your computer and so they are visible when your iPhone/iPad is connected to your computer?
If yes, I'd create new test album in iPhone and put few photos there. Then, I'd check what going on in iTunes - if this new album is visible and I can select it and synchronize with my device, it makes a sense to re-create all problematic albums one-by-one and each time check, if new created albums is synchronized.
I think, one of you albums creates a problem, if you can find it and fix the problem, all albums will be synchronized fine.

ImTOO has just released an update to iPad Mate Platinum for PC which now supports photo/video transfer to iPad/iPhone/iPod and iOS 5.0.1.

Though this does not solve the iTunes/iPad issues, I am able to upload photos from PC folders.

More iTunes/iPhoto work later with your suggestions.
