I am trying to access some version 1 counters yet they are not available in perfmon. v1 is installed and functioning on the server. How do I enable this counter?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

You can download the tool called Exctrlst from Microsoft Downloads and re-enable the counter's DLL for ASP.NET

This tool is a part of Windows 2000 Resource Kit. It's just the DLL is unregistered and the WMI is unable to find library to read the code. Although the service is trying to access the registered application DLL but it has been unregistered. We need to registered it using this tool. You must be getting the Perflib errors in the event logs.

Download this tool and follow this post..

If you still see the check on the respective Counter name. Make sure to uncheck it, refresh and re-check it.

Let me know your result.

Good Luck..!!
