Send Email from multiple emails same exchange server

I'm hoping to give a user the ability to send from multiple email address from the same "account in exchange."

He is able to receive email from domain1.com and from domain2.com.  I set this up by forwarding all emails received on domain2.com to domain1.com

I would like him to be able to select which account he want to send from when the outgoing email is sent.

I would also like this feature to work on an IPHONE and IPAD as well.

Everything is under one domain as it relates to windows.  ON the IPAD I get a message "An Identical Exchange account already exist.

Here is the info on the ipad

Primary email
Email - user.domain1.com
server-mail.domain1.com
Domain - domain1.com

Secondary Email
Email - user.domain2.com
server-mail.domain1.com
Domain - domain1.com

When I load it on the IPAD I can do either of them first and it will work, but not both on the same device.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you don't have separate accounts on the server you can't configure the iPad / iPhone as Exchange.

Your best bet is to setup a new Exchange account per domain and upgrade to Outlook 2010 which can have multiple Exchange accounts setup in the same profile and then you can easily choose which account you want to send out as.

@Allanhardisty Do you have to create a second user account as well.  How do you setup 2 exchange accounts for the same account?

I am suggesting to setup a new user account and also a new mailbox for each domain and then the iPad / iPhone will be happy.

You can't setup two Exchange accounts to the same single account.

So in your scenario and continuing with outlook 2007 the individual would have to log off and then log on to send from separate accounts?  But with 2010 that issue is resolved?

With Outlook 2007 - you would need to configure separate Outlook profiles - one for each email account being used.

With Outlook 2010 - you can have multiple Exchange accounts in the same Outlook Profile for the first time, so no closing Outlook down, waiting for it to close properly, then opening it up again, choosing another profile and then using that profile.

With a separate email / user account, the Apple devices will be much happier.

I have 3 Exchange accounts on my iPad / iPhone.  One for business email, one for EE emails and one for another account I use.  I also have Outlook 2010 and life is sweet :)
