Backup MySQL Workbench schema

How do I backup a MySQL Workbench schema (all the tables) so that I can implement it on another server?
It would take forever to do each table separately, and I also need a backup process to another server anyway.
Or maybe there is a better interface than Workbench that gives more options?

I believe you need to backup MySQL database. For this purpose you can use MySQL command line utility mysqldump. You just need to run this command on command line (shell or Windows prompt) to create the SQL file containing schema and table data
mysqldump database_name > database_name.sql

If you only need schema, then use -d switch as below
mysqldump -d database_name > database_name.sql

And to import the data, use the following command on shell/Windows prompt

mysql database_name < database_name.sql

You may need to provide MySQL user name and password.

If you don't want to use command line utility, there are other GUI tools available too.

Actually, after much research, you can do it through Workbench and it is fairly painless.
You just have to sign into the management section instead of the database.

Thanks for the help though - it definitely is another way to do it!
