How to view winxp shares from ubuntu

I am running ubuntu server 10.04.  Samba is setup and working.  Winxp can view all the shares on Samba.  How can I view the shares in winxp using ubuntu?

Are you running the standard Gnome Xorg desktop?  If so, you can browse by default.  See here:

If you want to permanently mount shares, you will need to install the smbfs package which provides the mount.cifs command:

  sudo apt-get install smbfs

Then just mount your windows shares as follows

  sudo mount -t cifs //<IP of Windows Machine>/C /mnt/localpath -odomain=WORKGROUP,username=guest

Substitute the IP (or DNS name) of your windows machine above, your mountpoint, and of course your domain/username.
