Problems upgrading my iPhone 4 to iOS 5

Hi,

I am having problems with my update on my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.  The problem is once I was done updating the synch in iTunes now shows I have 20 gigs of other.  I want my music collection on there but whatever this 20 gigs of other on there is taking up the space.  Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the 20 gigs of other and keep my contacts and other information.

Thanks,
Greg

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Backup your iPhone in iTunes (sync it and back it up), then erase the phone back to factory settings, then update it and then restore the phone from the backup.

The 20Gb is probably emails or other stuff you don't need and it shouldn't return after the restore.
