Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'

hi

I am moving a classic asp website to a new hosting provider. The code has been running for six years so problems should be down to the new environment.
This is the code. The *** is the line identified as in error

'* Transaction START
DIM connCart
SET connCart = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
connCart.open conn
IF connCart.Properties("Transaction DDL") = 8 THEN connCart.BeginTrans   ****

The error message
------------------------
DSN=sfs
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
/shop/CartCode.asp, line 138

What could be wrong please?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Seems like you haven't specified a connection string for your database connection.
