XenServer: Changing NIC details

I have a single XenServer 5.6 and need to change the gateway address on the NIC.When I try this at the console I get the following message:-

"Configuration failed: Host operation cannot be performed with external authentication enabled"

I have absolutely no idea what this means can anyone advise how I make the change?

Try changing it from the XenCenter console. Sometimes it works from there.

If you change the DNS then it's going to be necessary to disable the AD authentication.

You will need to log into XenCenter as the local user root account.
You will be required to disable the AD integration. Then you can change the settings and add the AD integration back.
Worked a treat thanks
