Setting up ActiveSync with VPN Appliance

Hello,

I am preparing to set up activesync to be offloaded to our Aventail EX6000 appliance. What I am looking for is instructions for how to do this from a networking and Exchange standpoint. Things like Natting and any exchange server configuration I need to set up. I assume I point the firewall to send the requests to the VPN device, then it forward the request to the EX server. However, any advise or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Be warned we have all kinds of issues with SOME Android phones IF you want to use only authorised devices to connect to exchange. Same setup as you are about to do.

Yes, using the authorized devices is part of the game plan. I will look into that issue. I will have to see the amount of droids here. mostly this is going to be for Ipads. Were you also using the ex6000? Can you give me a basic outline for how you configured it? Like addressing, certificates, exchange config? Any other issues encountered? BTW, EX6000 running firmware 10.5.4.
