Exchange 2010 Relay from Program outside the network

I have a customer who has a program that relays emails through our exchange 2010.  We recently updated from 2003 now I cant get it to relay.  The  program is on a server that uses not internal DNS but External DNS "If this helps".n  I created a recieve connector with anonymous permissions.  I also added there domain of the sending address to accepted domains.  Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you have created your anonymous connector and have it setup to accept connections from the specific network address of the remote, you still need to open the shell and run:

Get-ReceiveConnector "Your Connector Name" | Add-ADPermission -User “NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON” -ExtendedRights “ms-Exch-SMTP-Accept-Any-Recipient”

After that, restart the exchange transport service and it should work
