Help splitting up data

I have pulled several thousand rows of excel data into access.  One of the fields contains data that I would like to have in two fields and I am looking for some help in how I might be able to split this field.

A sample of the data is shown below.

I would like to extract the first number and call it tier_start and then call the 2nd value tier_end.

I know no code will work on all of it... but is someone has a suggestion on how maybe I can convert the bulk of it I will do the rest by hand.   Thanks!

Start with:

Update yourTable
SET Tier_Start = Trim(Replace(LEFT([currentfieldname], instr([currentfieldname], "-") -1), "$", "")),
       Tier_End = Trim(Replace(Mid([currentfieldname], instr([currentfieldname], "-") +1), "$", ""))
WHERE instr([currentfieldname], "-") > 1

then move on to:

Update yourTable
SET Tier_Start = Trim(Replace(LEFT([currentfieldname], instr([currentfieldname], "+") -1), "$", ""))
WHERE instr([currentfieldname], "+") > 1

Actually, since those numbers have commas, and you probably want to put these values in a number field type, try:

Update yourTable
SET Tier_Start = Trim(Replace(Replace(LEFT([currentfieldname], instr([currentfieldname], "-") -1), "$", ""), ",","")),
       Tier_End = Trim(Replace(Replace(Mid([currentfieldname], instr([currentfieldname], "-") +1), "$", ""), ",", ""))
WHERE instr([currentfieldname], "-") > 1

and

Update yourTable
SET Tier_Start = Trim(Replace(Replace(LEFT([currentfieldname], instr([currentfieldname], "+") -1), "$", ""), ",", ""))
WHERE instr([currentfieldname], "+") > 1
