SBS 2011 Standard - Full version of SQL 2008R2

I'm not very good witrh SQL and need urgently to beef up my skills. I have an SBS 2011 Standard server, is it possible to run the full SQL 2008 R2 version on the same server and does it also upgrade the native sql instances to the full version? Any help to understand SQL better is very much appreciated.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I've thrown a full version of SQL on my SBS2011, and it runs just fine.

On that note, I didn't upgrate any of the existing instances, not sure how it would handle it - but installing the full SQL Server under a new instance is just fine.

In fact, I actually added two additional full instances, as I'm doing the same thing you are with "upgrading skills"  :)
