IBM Client Access 7.1 for Windows

Sometimes when we install CA 7.1 it won't install. It seems like the installation is being performed as it should and an icon is created on the desktop. When the installation is finishing it removes everything again only leaving some empty folders.
We are installing it from a network place.

Can anyone tell what is happening and what we can do to solve the problem?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Have you read this, which refers to UAC and also DES.

Turn off UAC reboot, then install using an account that is an administrator

ve3ofa: Thanks for your reply. I did not find anything in the article that helped and it seems only to be about Win7, but the same can happen on XP.

We are able to install it from a CD, so I guess that is what we will do right now.
