Change deployment directory in Visual Studio 2005 Setup Project - Compact Framework

Hi All,

I'm trying to get a deployment project for my VB.NET 2005 CF app to install to a disk\folder called...

\Flash Disk\RFCheck

In the Solution Explorer, I choose the Primary Output item, then in the "Folder" property, I can choose from several predefined locations (Application Folder, Program Files Folder, Start Menu Folder, Startup Folder, Windows Folder, etc.)

None of them, of course, refer to the flash drive on the device.

I'm guessing I have to redefine what one of those locations means, but I don't know how to do it.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Bret

Sorry for the delay. This is a work thing and I wasn't here over the weekend.

I tried to add a Special Folder, then choose Custom. It lets me create one, but only lets me give it a name. There's no property for location (see attached a screen shot). I tried naming the custom folder "\Flash Disk\", but it won't let me use those characters.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Bret

In 2008 it did let me created the folder with the slashes in the name...

Have you considered using a different free program to author the install for this?  If it is a simple project, it would be easy to find enough information to get going on something free like NSIS.  (Nullsoft Installer)
Hey,

OK. I thought I had to use the "path" of the folder for the name, but it turns out that it likes "Flash Disk" just fine in the name (no slashes). Once I added "Flash Disk" and dragged everything into that folder, it worked as desired.

Thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
