Restore Firefox session

what are the rules pertaining to being able to restore a Firefox session on a mac?

For example, I had over 20 tabs open and quite firefox and usually in the latest versions of FF, when you restart, the icon on the page allows you to restore previous session.

If you dont select that icon and start browsing , do you then lose that ability to restore?  I know in the History window it has Restore previous session, but it is now greyed out for me.  What prevents a session from being restored?

Is there any way of retrieving a restored session?

sorry, you cant get that back , but in future you can get back if you add this add-on to your browser , go to the following link,

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/session-manager/versions/

good luck.

Once you start browsing, a new session gets created, overwriting the old one.

This is probably the page you are referring to:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Session_Restore

It might be possible that about:config could help.  Go through he page and see if any of that helps you.

No definitive solution on trying to restore a previous session once Firefox was opened and closed again.
