Blackberry Enterprise Server not working on Exchange 2007
Hi,
I have a BES server working with Exchange 2003.
Recently, I've setup a new Exchange 2007 and plans to migrate the users over to 2007.
However, after I migrate myself from 2003 to 2007 server, the Blackberry services fails to work:
meaning, my emails are not forwarded to my BB, and I cannot send emails out from my BB.
Is there any other steps required for this?

Go into the Bes settings and see if it is still pointing to the old server. It probably needs to be updated.

The Blackberry Manager updates that my mailbox is now on the new Exch. Server.
For this, do I just migrate the user between the Exchange or do I need to perform some settings on the BES?
My BES Server is 4.0.2

Your users should already be on exchange 2007. if that migration process is complete for all mailboxes, you should complete the migration by removing 2003 exchange from the envorinment.
One safe test is to shut that server down, restart the BB server and see what happens.

Mine is the Small Business Version.
Am I entitled to the upgrade?
For me, I am unable to remove the Exchange 2003 because I can't ensure that 2007 well with BES thus it is still on.
For you, do you need to perform any configuration on your exchange server?

You should complete your migration from 2003 to 2007 which includes pulling the exchange 2003 server out of the network. Until you do that, you will probably have a problem with Bes. I have two clients with networks 1-2003 and 1-2007 and DESX. Both run fine.
The recnfig would be in BES after you complete the migration process.

This may or may not work. I know when I move users between information stores, I have to run the cleanup utility. The same might work in this instance.

Hello,
i guess you may have to further diagnose the issue and come up with exact issue because Blackberry may not work for multiple reason... Please provide more information
Check for eventlog, blackberry logs, status on blackberry device and server for the specific user hosted on E2K7

OK I've gotten help from RIM's engineer for the past 5 days.
The issue is, BES 4.0.2 does not support Exchange 2007.
Only BES 4.1.6 onwards support Exchange 2007.
As my company did not budget for this, we decided to switch to BES Express 5.0.3 and it is now working fine.
Thanks for the help!

In conclusion,
Check BES support for Mail server before performing upgrade.
