I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

What device(s) are missing drivers? Often Windows will pick up pairing information from a connected BT device and, not knowing how to manage these, assumes they are separately connected devices and warns you it can't communicate with them.

The lack of Internet connection may be a separate issue unless you are trying to connect via BT IN WHICH CASE WHAT's the make/model of the PC and the device you are linking to.

The computer is a HP Pavilion dv9700 Entertainment PC

From what I can tell under Device Manager it does not say what drivers are missing just that there drivers missing.

for finding the drivers, you should give the correct model (there are some hundred) :  http://www8.hp.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

or  try this to identify the devices :

Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information.
Now select  "Components" and highlight "Problem Devices".
All hardware devices with a driver problem will be listed here.
Make a note of the first line of the PNP Device ID line of the entry. It will show a Vendor number and a Device number (VENxxxxDEVxxxx) both four digits long.
Look up those numbers here:   http://www.pcidatabase.com/index.php

This will tell you the manufacturer and the chip number.
Check the manufacturer's website first or google them - or post them here

If your LAN is running, you can also use windows update, or drivereasy (free) :  www.drivereasy.com
let it scan, then hit Get Drivers, it will list the drivers - you can google them, or let drivereasy do it

It does sound as if your mainboard chipset drivers aren't installed correctly.

Choose your exact model from the list on the HP site, select the Vista operating system and download and run the  chipset drivers first, then the correct driver from each of the Networking sections?

HP's driver page is here.

The drivers below I cannot successfully install the drivers. I have installed drivers from the HP site that should have install the drivers for the devices below. I continue to see the same messages (as above) for each of the devices below. The Chipset has been reinstalled followed by the network drivers. There is something I am missing, what is it?
