SP 2010 - Best Practice to share content across Site Collections

Hi All

I would like some advice.  I have five different site collections and I need to share information across all of them.  The information that needs to be shared is a large number of lists and libraries including content.  I need the end user to update the 'hub' which will then push out all the information to the site collections.

Does anyone have any ideas?  I have looked into the Content Type Hub but I am not sure if this is the best solution (as it just looks like Content Types, metadata etc can be shared but not contents of lists/libraries).

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

5. Rethink portal logical architecture. Probably you need just 1 site collection with 5 subsites?

Thanks Ivan!  I will investigate those options and let you know which one I go with.

You're right, one site collection with subsites would have been better except I have stepped into a role where the architecture is already defined so now i just have to work with it.
