Operation Failed: The Specified Directory Service Attribute or Value Does Not Exist

I accidently deleted the folder from the sysvol folder {75DCEGFF5....etc}

The GPO still exists in AD and when I try right click and delete it I can't because the spcified file does not exist

So I tried to use ADSI Edit to remove the entry from CN=System; CN=Policies but I receive an error:

Operation Failed: The Specified Directory Service Attribute or Value Does Not Exist

I no longer need this GPO as I created a new one and restored a backup of the now missing GPO into this new GPO

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Wait some time for replication of Sysvol .

So, then you deleted physical folder structure where GPO was stored. Now the only GPO link left in your environment. If you have any recent System State backup for your DC of you did GPOs backup, you can restore it to another test location, look in %WINDIR%\SYSVOL\domain\Policies for that GUID and copy it to the DC back (to the same location %WINDIR%\SYSVOL\domain\Policies). It will be repl;icated to all DCs and you will be able again to see it in \\domain.local\SYSVOL and edit from GPMC
