How can I suppress the detail within a matrix when the value is zero?

I have a report that provides the correct information, but it has too many columns.  I would like to suppress the detail "columns" whenever they are zero.  Please note, this is not the column group but really the intersection of row and group.

My real problem is that I want to export to Excel and I have a 256 column limit.  I can provide as much detail as you need.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

If you would like to hide the column based on a condition -- in your case if the column is 0, right click on the column (grey area) and select Column Visibility.

Then Select "Show or hide based on expression"
Click on fx, this will launch Expression builder
Enter the formula something like this:  =Fields!OrderQty.Value = 0

You can do the same with rows aswell.

Hope this helps,

Like the other poster answered, but expression syntax should be using IIF
see attached screen shots.

then use = IIF(Fields!OrderQty.Value = 0, TRUE, FALSE)

you'll need to do that for each column and mention the field name.
true means hide, false means don't hide.
