Sharewebdb_log is 22GB.
sharewebdb has been reduced down to 514Mb through use of the fix me tool.
sharewebdb_log has since grown to be 22GB which is a quarter of the whole drive so I want that space back.
I've connected to the DB using SQL Express, backed it up then shrink the DB, but only reduced by 0.5GB not the savings I hoped for.
Joined Expert Exchange for the solution, fingers crossed you guys can help.

You have to backup transaction log - then shink -> files -> choose transaction log file to shrink.

Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to say I have backed it up correctly from with SQL Express before attempting to shrink.
Should I reboot the server after backup or any services before attempting shrink as this has not done much for me so far.
If so I'll need to schedule a restart.
