Contents of Excel Field not visable

I have an excel timesheet that we created.  When I put in a Time In as 8:00 pm and an Out Time of 12:00 am, the 12:00 am is only visable in the formula bar and not the cell.  I have attached the document.  Please see cells in colum D. form-Timesheet-2012-P2007-4e.xlsx

This only happens when the time out is 12:00 am whether it's Time In or Time Out.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

12:00 AM is equivalent to zero and you have an option set to not show zeroes. To change that do this for Excel 2007

Office button (top left) > Excel Options > Advanced > "display options for this worksheet" > tick "Show a zero in cells that have zero value"

That works, thank you!! Now the issue is it shows zeros in all the total fields that we just wanted to be blank!

...actually to set for all worksheets you need to select all sheets first (right-click one sheet tab and then use "Select all sheets") then you can set that option for all sheets at once.

See attached

If you want to hide zero values in some cells best to do that by formatting in those specific ranges

In the sum range you can use a format that will not display zeroes - select that range > right-click > Format > Number > Custom

General;;

Note the two semi-colons at the end. This format hides negative values and zeroes (i assume you won't have any negatives)
