PHP 5.2.1 on IIS6

Hi there, I just downloaded the .zip library for PHP 5.2.1 and extracted it to c:\php , then copied the recommended php.ini under c:\windows and enabled the mysql extensions, however when I launch phpinfo() , I do not see any mysql modules installed AND my phpmyadmin software gives the below error message:

The mysql extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration. <a href="Documentation.html#faqmysql" target="documentation"><img class="icon" src="./themes/pmahomme/img/b_help.png" width="11" height="11" alt="Documentation" title="Documentation" /></a>

other php scripts run just fine, but for some reason, although my php.ini file is under c:\windows\php.ini (which is visible wihtin phpinfo as well) I cannot get php to parse this file properly or I'm missing something else? please help. thanks.

check for the extensions directory in the phpinfo and make sure that the mysql extension dll file is present in that folder.

Also check the error log for any other message

The mysql modules require either 'libmysql.dll' (or 'mysqlnd') to be in the path.  Frequently they are in the C:\PHP directory.  Are they there and is that in your path?
