SSL312 ProSafe™ SSL VPN Concentrator - Is the clientless "client" secure`?

Hi

We are thinking about making this:
http://support.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/143/~/ssl312-prosafe%E2%84%A2-ssl-vpn-concentrator---general-product-information-%26-features

..available to our thin wyse clients.
* We dont host the VPN tunnel and don't know how its configured.
* What we have to install on our side is two activeX components.

Im wondering about how secure it is for us to log on to a VPN tunnel hosted externally from a thin client on an internal server. This should bypass some of our security, and if the provider gets hacked is it possible to reverse the connection and get access to our data? Tried to google some but can't find anything on this subject. Is there any with more security knowledge than me that know what we should be or not be affraid of?  :-)
