Nagios monitoring Sip peers


Does anyone have a how to on either nagvis in english or how to monitor sip peers on asterisk

There are some Asterisk plug-ins for Nagios around although I have never used one.  

Normally, I do a cron entry to run a script once an hour, that does a "sip show peers" and passes the output to a php script to parse it and determine if any action is needed..

asterisk -rx 'sip show peers' | checkPeers

The first link should work on Fedora. You need 2 things, a plugin that check nagios and the nagios configuration itself.
