Outlook 2007 calendar to sharepoint 2007 with categories & colours

Hi all

I have set up a calendar in sharepoint 2007 which is linked in to outlook 2007.

My question is, is there an easy way (without 3rd party apps) to colour code outlook entries on the sharepoint calender view.

I have tried the Pathtosharepoint example, and although good, it only allows to add colours to new entries, or manually add a colour after entry.

Can this be done automatically via scripting or via copying over the outlook category?

Thanks in advance

OS = XP
Outlook = 2007
Sharepoint = 2007

Hi Sandipkharde

I have just used the orbitone example and works great, however when moved from outlook 2007 or emailed direct sharepoint sets the category to default.

Can the category set in Outlook be retained when sent to sharepoint?
Andrew, I dont think so.
You can play around it else may need to develop custom solution like sharepoint - outlook integration ? where same category will ratain in sharepoint.
looks like you can do it via a registry key, I have to wait until tomorrow to get the work guys to allow me permissions :(

sound great!
This didnt work via the registry due to group policy settings, but without GP it would have worked.
