email bounce back
Hi,
When sending an email to the extenal company with excel attachment file, it bounces back with the below message :
554-5.7.0 Reject, id=06529-01 - BANNED:554-5.7.0 P=p006,L=1,M=multipart/mix
But in inside the company, we can receive this email. And also when i send the mail with excel attachement to me external mail ( gmail, hotmail ) it works.
If i send an test email without any attachement to this external company; it works.
This means that the external companies is refusing the attachment ? or this issue is in our side.
Is there any way to check in our domino server / spam server, whether the mail is blocked ?
Any ideas how to fix this issue ?

This SMTP code means that delivery failed due to a policy on the receiving mail server. It is not uncommon for mail servers to reject office files from external sources. Try to send the file as a ZIP or RAR attachment.

The emails are refused at other end.
As we are sending our emails from lotus notes, the receiver receives the attachment in format .wmf so they rejects our emails.
I tried even by sending as a zip file it doesnt worked. when i send the file in format xls ( 97 ) , they received the email without problem.
