DLs between Exchange 2010 and Sharepoint 2010

So we are rolling out Sharepoint 2010 in our environment and I am having a little bit of a time wrapping my head around something. I have some distribution lists that I want users to be able to manage. However I cant use DL's with Sharepoint.

Is there any way that I can use DLs (dynamic as well) for email distribution purposes in Sharepoint? They will not be used for security assignment to resources, but rather just for invitaion purposes in sharepoint.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

First you convert all DL to Universal and test it. You can convert one DL and then test it. Check if that works.

Well i see that you can use OWA 2010 to modify a security group, kinda scary. but that still leaves the question of dynamic lists.

It's not possible as SharePoint will treat a AD group as an user. And the email address linked to the DL is a single email address and does NOT target all users
