Google Maps

I have a customer who has a service business, techs are sent out each day to make service calls. He wants to do the following (after all a days calls are displayed on a Map; I know how to do that part).

"Create a method of dragging and dropping the Google map pin for each call onto a dispatch board with columns that have technicians names on them."

Is this possible with Google Maps?

Interesting question.  I don't think this can be done.  I believe that Google Maps pins become invisible if you drag them off the map.  I am certain that they are invisible if you programatically position them off the map.  The map is like a desktop.  Once you drag your coffee cup over the edge and release it, ...

Suggest you use "request attention" and ask a moderator to add this to the JavaScript and jQuery Zones.  There are smart people over there.
