Error Creating RHEL VM using VMWare 8

Hi,

I am trying to create a VM for Red Hat Enterprise Linux using an iso image on VMWare v8.

The installation is failing with a Network error.  I have attached the screenshot.

Thanks,
Rishi

You need to ensure the ISO is Connected and Connected at Power ON is selected.

Also check the the BIOS First BOOT Order is CDROM.

Its not booting from the cdrom, trying to boot from hard disc, but its blank no boot sector, so then trying a network boot.

Press F2 function key 2 to enter the BIOS, or Press Escape at BIOS Post and select CDROM to boot.

Also check the iso you have downloaded is not corrupt, check MD5 or SHA1 signatures if available, or download MagicISO and check your iso is bootable.

Hi, how did you configure your network in the (new) VM? Is it any different from all the other VM's you have?

Make sure you use the e1000 nic for the installation.
