Looking at the manual on this IOS http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/wireless/access_point/12.4.25d.JA/Configuration/guide/12.4.25d.JA.cg.pdf, it shows that the "Clock Set" command is ran in EXEC mode and the SNTP server is enabled in global configuration mode.  I assume you are in global configuration mode when looking for the SNTP commands?

Configure Terminal
sntp server {address | hostname}

I do "Clock set" command from EXEC or enable mode.

xxxxx-AP01#clock se
xxxxx-AP01#clock set ?
  hh:mm:ss  Current Time

When i try from Global Config mode,  don't get any SNTP

xxxx-AP01(config)#sntp
                       ^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

When i type ntp and enter , some strange behavour,it says "Incomplete" but it actually doesn't resolve to any NTP command.

IR-B1D1-AP01(config)#ntp
% Incomplete command.

Nothing at this point !! when i typed NTP in config mode, there is no any other following command with that and if i press enter after typing NTP, it gives above output like " Incomplete command".  Actually I Can't type anything after this NTP  in Global mode.

I have a 1232 AP and I can configure SNTP for clock synchronization, it just that there is a bug and in context help it says that is a unknown command
Check this command
sntp server x.x.x.x
x.x.x.x = ip address of NTP server
just copy paste and enter don't look at the context help.

See if this is similar to the 1800-24G web interface:

1. Navigate to Network Setup -> SNTP in the switch menu
2. Select the Enable SNTP check-box
3. Enter your NTP server IP address in the appropriate field and apply the settings
4. Navigate to Network Setup -> Time Zone
5. Select your time zone from the drop down and apply the settings
6. Navigate to Network Setup -> Daylight Saving Time
7. Ensure the settings are correct for your time zone
8. The time will take a little while to sync. Navigate to Network Setup -> SNTP to check whether it is right.

Hi lomejordeesto,

i have tried to do directly ntp server command and it accepted but i still see the message" User configured time" in the output for sh clock detail. I don't get any info for SNTP.
