Hi,
My joomla 1.5 site is setup for http and https.I want to start using SSL, but when is enter https://sitename, the url instantly changes to http://sitename.
Ik don't know how the url can be rewritten or how to troubleshoot. Running on IIS6 on Win2003
Any help?

What do you mean with " menu manager", there is nothing about SSL to set.
In the default menu SSL activated is ON.
I meant to say .for each menu item is ssl enabled ?
you have to enable SSL for each menu Item...

Is SEF enabled ?or any kind of redirects enabled on your site ?

can I have a link to site ?\

no, not jet, only the default menu is set to ssl, but to test it now this should ne enough, because this pags is already redirected to http.
SEF is enabled, this should be possible?
A link to the sit'e won't work, because it is behind a ISA and ISA redirects everything to SSL, but internal trafic to the site is http, and that I also wants to change to https. So I can only test it on my local network.
Try this plugin ...http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/url-redirection/11326

Also are you using Mod_rewrite ? ..if yes check .htacess file in Joomla root folder .. whether it is redirecting https to http..

Found it, thanks for the suggestion to disable all plugings! It seemed there was a plugin named "SSL Redirect plugin" doing a very nice job, while I was not aware of it's precence.
