Cisco AnyConnect and the Ipad

I am confused with the AnyConnect Licensing.  It is true regardless if I have the AnyConnect Premium License or the AnyConnect Essential License I still have to purchase the AnyConnect Mobile License If I have users who need to connect using Ipads and Android Tablets?  Thanks.

Yes, the Anyconnect mobile is a single license for the ASA and is not very expensive at all. It is required for any mobile client - ipad, iphone, windows phone, android etc. to connect.
The iPad does already have a built in IPSEC client that does not require any additional license and works just as well.

100% correct, without it this will happen.

Cisco AnyConnect Error (iPhone)

Though the licence is pretty cheap (£50.00 ish UK) you will have to have anought SSL/WEB VPN licences as well though :)

yes, you need the Anyconnect Mobile licence for iPhone/iPad.

I would go with Anyconnect essentials over premium licences.

the Barracuda SSL VPN devices are more cost effective than Cisco ASA for "pure" SSL VPN connectivity (when everything happens in a browser and everything is "proxied" through the SSL VPN) for large rollouts, and can do significantly more...

Thanks.  I purchased an AnyConnect Mobile License and am now able to connect to the VPN with mobile devices.  Thanks.
