Conflict on permissions on DB securables

Hi,

If a db user, userA is explicitly denied the permission to execute Delete statements against Employee table.
If the Public role were granted Delete permission and userA were denied Delete permission, would userA be able to execute Delete statement on Employee table?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.
