SharePoint - Using Hyperlinks In Variations

Hi

We have variations deployed within our SharePoint 2010 site and the english pages are published to the variations pages, I want to put a hyperlink on a page that directs the end user to the variation site for their language but it keeps going to /EN instead of /DE for german.

so for example i want to go to the depts page and need to configure a hyperlink/

when an english user clicks the link from https://intranet.braindumpblog.co.uk/en/default.aspx to go to the departments page the link should take them to  https://intranet.braindumpblog.co.uk/en/depts/default.aspx

When a german user clicks the link from https://intranet.braindumpblog.co.uk/de/default.aspx to go to the departments page the link should take them to https://intranet.braindumpblog.co.uk/DE/depts/defaults.aspx

How do i set the URL to go to the correct site, when i only set the link once

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

The hyperlink is part of your content and should be translated (including target url) along with your variations content.
