Folder not indexed by Google

I need to make it so that a whole folder isn't indexed by the search engines. Is this possible? I don't want to have to put code into each separate page. I want it so that anything in www.example.com/content/ doesn't show up in the search results.

Thanks!

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots_exclusion_standard

This is the tool.  All well-behaved search engines and bots will respect it.

Google specifically says...

But that aside, if you do not want information indexed you have two choices.  Password protect it or keep it offline.
