Can't load PDF files from IIS7

I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS7.5 and I have a problem that started a week ago that I can't load PDF files when browsing from any browser.

When trying to load any PDF file, it looks like the process begins, and suddenly it stops.
I tried this: but I'm getting an error message that says: "The update is not applicable to your computer"

MIME type is OK.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you open it by going into the Adobe Acrobat Reader and opening via the URL?  Curious if it will load that way which will tell us if its something up with the browser or possibly the pdf file itself
Have you installed Service Pack 1? SP1 contains hotfix 979543. This issue is also discussed here . Discussion contains solution using http handler in application which can temporarily help until you find solution for the entire server.
