SFU NIS 3.5 multiple subnets

I have NIS running on my domain controllers, running SFU 3.5. I am attempting to authenticate on multiiple subnets, but can only get local broadcast. Is there a configuration file which can allow the NIS server to authenticate multiple subnets?

Found that the SFU NIS server will authenticate across mutliple subnets, just need to specify the IP addresses for the domain controllers in the /etc/yp.conf file.

This solution works in a multi subnet network does not require any modifications to the Microsoft SFU basic install.
