Trouble adding PC to Domain

I am in the process of adding about 10 computers to my existing domain. These computers are at an offsite location and are connected to our main site via VPN.
I tried to add a specific computer to the domain (I have done this successfully at my 2 other offsite locations) and it failed, stating that it could not contact a DNS / Domain Controller.
I took the PC from the offsite location and brought it to my main location (in the Server room). I set IP to DHCP (it was that anyway) and it is pointing at both my Domain Controlers (Primary and regular).
I try to add the PC to the domain now and I get the following error:
" An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a domain controller in the domain being joined failed. Please verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain"

The PC in question is a Win7 32-bit machine...

Change the computer's DNS to the IP of the server on the other side of the VPN and see if that allows you to join them.

Have you added a Preferred and Secondary DNS servers to the IP protocol?
How about if you click the Advanced tab and then then the DNS tab and select Append these DNS suffixes and enter yourdomain.com?

Hi,

it totally looks like DNS issues.

Do Following Steps,

Try to Input manuall IP and manually point your dc and dns ip on client prefr DNS setting
disable client firewall
and for different site if systems are on vpn then you must configure and point out the ip of your dns server on the hosts file of client system

hope it resolves

and use fqdn when you try to join on domain
