How to discover the Administraive/Host IP address for the Cisco 4510
I recently assumed a new role and took ownership of a Cisco 4510 Cat. switch.
I would like to use putty to dispaly the running-config, but I do not have the host ip
address for the switch. How can I discover the host ip?

connect a laptop to the switch and run the ipconfig command.
Best way is directly through the console port of the switch to serial port on PC.
then just use "show ip interface brief" and you should be able to determine an IP address that you can telnet to thereafter.
