View above url, and try to scroll down pdf file shown. when it is matched a few pages, it will alert you saying you can view less 50% of the content....

I love that option. does anyone know how to do it in asp.net/c# or just pdf feature?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I believe that would be something that is done in Flash. The container displaying the document is a Flash container.

I don't do Flash programming, and I don't have an environment to experiment in, so I'll have to defer to others.  Sorry    : \

What exactly is the applications functionality?  Im curious as to why exactly you would want that exact functionality.  There are a plethora of alternatives that are just as clean and professional.  If it were me, i wouldnt display the document / PDF as it is on your gazhoo example but, probably allow them to view it via an RDLC report viewer ( or crystal report equivalent ) and then either at the end of the report viewed, display your 50% blurb or, have that as a disclaimer when viewing the report.

Hope this helps.

I am building a outline for college student. like before they purchase, they can see like 20% of the content in pdf, and if they purchase, they can see the whole thing. The application is c#/asp.net with SQL database express in the back-end.

Do you have any suggestions to me? I will be really thank you for your helps.
