Need to design a backup plan, need advice

Hey guys, I need to design a backup recovery solution.  Anyone has a sample document or anything?
The requirements are disk2disk, 30 day retention, 24 hourly, daily full snapshot.

Thanks.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

You may want to check your company's data retention policy to include with your backup solution.

Also, consider adding stored backups at an offsite location after a full backup is run at the end of the week or end of month.

Thank you!  Most of these are still tape based.  I wonder to find something more geared towards the D2D backups.

Do your research on conventional backups, dedupe and synthetic backups (aka incrementals forever), sort out the business requirements for RTO and RPO and consider using the cloud, but make sure you do a risk analysis.

Make sure you understand your disaster scenario's and make sure that your backup regime is part of your dr/dt plan.
