How to call Dll from javascript

Hello all ,
How to call Dll from javascript but not using
var l_Obj = new ActiveXObject("ComponentName.ClassName");

as firefox , chrome doesn't understand this code .
Any Help?!!!

u can create a webservice or an asp or jsp page from there u can  call the dll. which will work in all browsers......

i need this code to run on client so we need javascript not server side .
any help ?
"ActiveXObject" concept is supported only by IE which is not possible in other browsers... For that u've to take make server call....  Because of security reasons it is not allowed in other browsers...
