How to program 3 dropdown boxes for HTML, JSP coding

I have three drop down boxes and when the user selects a value from the first one the items in the second box filter and when whe the user selects the second value then the 3rd box filters.

My question is how do I do this using HTML for JSP.

1st box is Business Function
2nd box is Process Element
3rd box is Process Output

Thank you in advance.

That link looks like it provides some help, but I have to comment on your design concept.  Six clicks to get to the page the user is looking for is not very user friendly.  It makes your navigation really awkward users are probably not going to like it.

Semantically it is not the best use of a select.

I agree - I have boxes that are somewhat lengthy with multiple selections that can rendor multiple selections.  I am searching the Web and have not found any good examples.

Thank you

the first box may have 6 selections that rendor 6 selections in the second box that filters 5 or six selections in the last box
